We always try to practice what we preach. We are proud to announce that Apex Capital Corp has been named among the “Healthiest Companies in America” by Interactive Health, a national provider known for its preventative health programs that encourage employees to adopt new health habits. Apex is one of 184 companies across the country recognized this year for empowering employees to make significant, life-saving changes to improve their health.

This is the first year Apex has won the award. How did we do it? We used effective preventative health initiatives to reach at least a 70% participation rate in our company’s wellness program. Because so many of our employees, affectionately dubbed “Apexers,” became involved in actively improving their wellbeing our overall health risk was low. That low-risk designation came from the results of an annual health evaluation that involves a blood draw, lab tests and a questionnaire.

But what’s even more important? Having fun while being healthy, of course. We want Apexers to choose a healthy lifestyle, so we make it easy for them. We encourage participation in friendly competition challenges including getting extra steps in your daily routine, reducing sugar intake, doing yoga, saving money, and more. These challenges reward extra wellness points that can be cashed in for Wellness PTO days. That’s an extra paid day off just for doing healthy stuff. Awesome!
